| i divide myself between the musician and the gardener. i have chosen never to decide between the two: musician.... gardener.... either way, it is meaningful; the musician found me in the gutter and drummed my ears with urgency; tinny tones on metal. the gardener found me beneath yellow blossoms and lulled me into bliss. the musician and the gardener ground me pluck me like a harsichord until the melody of wind, forsythia and rain become my symphony. ©2008JEK |
